Being aware of the growing trend in e-learning,
Classroom Publications Limited created the
"Classroom Website" in the year 2000. On our website, users
will find both learning and teaching materials, such as educational
games, DIY toys and stories. It also features a Putonghua test paper
database. These creative activities aim to be both appealing and
informative for children, a source of knowledge and fun.
Classroom Publications Limited was established in 1983,
and it publishes educational materials mainly for the local
market. For the last 20 years, our ruling principles have always
been CREATIVITY and HIGH QUALITY SERVICE. Through continuous
renovation and ongoing adaptation, we have grown into one of
the most respected publishing companies in HK and were able
to extend our range to Guangzhou, Macau and Taiwan.
Moreover, our company's publications enjoy an enviable reputation
among teachers, parents and students. For instance, we have just
released three series of educational materials for primary, junior
high and senior high learners respectively, all based on the "Putonghua
curricula". These series were adopted by a large number of
schools, reaching the third place in the sales records, and demonstrating
not only the trust our customers have given us but also our creditable
position in the textbook publishing sector. Likewise, to keep up
with current trends of telecommunications and Internet as significant
tools in students' teaching and learning, we have launched in 2001
our "Self-study series", well equipped with interactive
CD-ROMs. As expected, this series was again highly appreciated
by the public, for its quality and novel features.
Since the handover in 1997, the company has also participated
actively in the cultural exchange activities among Mainland China,
Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. For starters, the "Putonghua
Cultural Performance and Exhibition" and Cultural Exchange
visits have been held annually since 1998. At the same time, China's
National Children's Centre has been invited to co-ordinate with
youth organizations from different provinces and cities in order
to come to Hong Kong and perform along with Hong Kong students.
Through this activity, Chinese and Hong Kong students are given
the chance to share their cultural background, facilitating the
most suitable environment for Putonghua learning.
Furthermore, in order to promote our products and reach out
to all without distinction of borders, our company organizes many
exhibitions of our educational materials. In the same way, our
participation in the internationally acclaimed Hong Kong book fair
has also increased, from two booths in 1990, to six in the year
2001 and up to eight in the last event.
Henceforth, "Classroom Web" has been built, on one
hand, to keep up with the rapid evolution of the company, while
on the other, to prepare the most pleasant environment for Hong
Kong students to display their talents. We at Classroom Publications strive to keep pace with the rapid
developing world of publishing in order to provide you with a better
