我喜歡看哈利波特的電影和小說，所以很高興知道美國將會興建哈利波特的魔法世界遊槳園。我想內裏一定會有很多關於哈利波特的遊戲。我真的很想去一次，不過，我要唸熟那個可以帶我去到美國的魔法︰斜角巷。

In this news, we know that there will be a new air pollution index. I think it is good to have this system because we can know whether it's a good time to go out or not. They offer this system because of the air pollution. For this, if they still offer a better system, it may not still get better because the people nowadays keep turning the air-conditioner all the time. They still can't change their bad habits. I hope the people can change their life style and save more energy.

我覺得人們不應該繼續破壞環境，應以使用工共交通工具代替使用私家車，而且多用天然的資源來發電。不然，如果人們繼續下去，將來不止是格陵蘭島的冰川融化，南北極的冰川也可能被完全瓦解，到時便不堪設想了！

Campaign to stop cutting down trees in university 閱讀新聞

Trees breathe in harmful carbon dioxide, and give us essential oxygen in return. They give us shelter and food. Without them, we would not be here today. Yet we chop them down, until there is too much carbon dioxide - until we ourselves our harmed by our own doings. We keep on destroying nature, as we should not, for we ourselves are part of God's creation. Are financial needs more important, or should we put global warming in the first place? To stop global warming, trees are most necessary. Mankind needs to change.

Earthworms to reduce land pollution 閱讀新聞

It is kind of creepy to associate food with worms, yet earthworms can help reduce land pollution by eating food waste. Their excrement can also be used as fertilizer. It is really good to know that these worms can be used to solve part of our land pollution problems. However, we must remember that earthworms consume mainly vegetable matters and other sorts of food waste still remain. Perhaps every family should look into their eating and cooking habits in order to minimze food waste for better conservation of natural resources and a less polluted environment!

Gadgets for finding children 閱讀新聞

Technology can improve life, but it should never replace parental love and care. While I agree that the small gadgets used to locate young kids are useful inventions, they are not meant to prevent accidents. Parents should not rely on the devices to the extent that they no longer give their children adequate attention or a close watch outdoors. These gadgets may be useful to parents whose children who are over active. Under all circumstances, children should be bound to their parents by genuine love and care that no gadgets can give.

現代生活環境多噪音，有些人習慣邊逛街邊聽MP3，所以往往把音量調得過高，久而久之耳朵便會出現問題。我認為聽MP3的時間不宜過長，也應留在家中聽。除此之外，邊逛街邊聽MP3會導致太集中而忽略路面安全，非常危險。

Dog tutors help children learn English 閱讀新聞

Many students in Hong Kong, especially those who live in public housing estates, seldom speak English in their learning and living environments. Some of their parents may don't know any English, so they cannot improve their English speaking skills at home. The programme can help primary students learn English and become more willing to speak English. The more they speak, the more confident they become. Also, I think students can practise their spoken English by wondering around tourists' districts, trying to buy an ice-cream, reading an English magazine, making orders in a foreign restaurant which is only served by English-speaking waiters.

我覺得現時家庭多數是獨生子女，父母過份寵愛變成縱容子女。子女習慣了倚賴父母就會變得沒有自主能力，長大了亦沒有勇氣去面對困難或挫折。父母應從小讓他們學會獨立對自己的責任有承擔，他們才能健康快樂地成長。

Bad fishing ways destroy coral homes 閱讀新聞

Corals are not only beautiful, but they are also habitats to many kinds of fish and sea dwellers. Unfortunately, these corals are being destroyed by environmental pollution and human abuses not limited to bad fishing ways. Corals are doomed to perish when they are removed from the sea. Many love to put corals in tanks to decorate their houses. I think our government should do something to protect our natural resources before it is too late. Perhaps people should also learn to appreciate nature and help to make their flourish.

Cutting down trees for the Olympics 閱讀新聞

It is a shame if trees have to be cut down for the Olympics. The trees are precious natural resources in a city as crowded as Hong Kong. Without enough trees, we have to face environmental problems such as greenhouse effect. The 2008 Olympics lasts only a few days but the trees take many years to grow. So, I think the Hong Kong Government should avoid cutting down trees as nothing can compensate for the damage to our environment.

I share the view with Legislator Chan Yuen Han because the existence of small shops and street traders is still significant for the life of people.The street traders and small shops are important to the grass-roots because the latter have only low income and cannot afford the expensive products in the shopping mall or even supermarkets.Sometimes, people have to pay for the advancement in terms of money and convenience. I hope the Government will keep the special characteristics indifferent district in order to get a balance.

大學實施「無膠袋日」閱讀新聞

校園無膠袋日不但可以對學生灌輸環保意識，更可以要他們履行用者自付的原則；加上要學生捐錢買膠袋，一定比他們主動不要膠袋，更能有效減少濫用。其實平時大家都應該自備購物袋，買一兩件物品時就可以無需索取膠袋。

I think that gamblers are stupid, because if they lose a lot of money, they should stop gambling, but they just keep doing it and lose more money. If they really need to have fun after working, they can always go to video game arcades or play some sports. Even if they have to gamble, they should control themselves and stop at the appropriate times.
